Rich is a well -known comic book inker and co-creator of the indy superhero series buzzboy. His wife traci is battling stage 4 metastic melanoma. Times aren't easy for anyone right now, but the fabers are also raising their 2-year old son at home, and could use all the help that they can get right now as they rty to pay for costly cancer treatments for traci.

100% of the money raised trhough these auctions will be donated directly to the faber family. These auctions are being run by longtime dc comci inker drew geraci, and splash page comic art. Mark hay, of splash page comic art, plans on donating a few published, and unpublished pieces as well. Updates will occur a few hours before the auction.

Inker andy owens has egnerously donated a page from the top-selling buffy the vampire slayer series (written by joss whedon, pencilled by georges jeanty, published by dark horse). Drew years ago when i first met rich i had just broken into comics, and he was gratious in introducing me into this new 'fellowship of ink. When i read about his family's situation on heidi mcdonald's blog, i wanted to figure out a way to help. Groups like hero initiative do a fantastic job of looking for the welfare of comic book legends who are in dire straights, but realistically, there's only so much money to go around. After consulting jim mclauchlin, i decided, with art dealer mark hay, to initiate my own benefit auction to hopefully blunt some of the financial pain teh fabers are experiencing during this holiday season.

I know a lot of people are hurting this year, but i've found comic book fans ot be a generous population. Mark and i have cherry-picked some art gems that will hopefully bring in a godo bundle of financial relief. The ebay and shipping costs will be absorbed by mark and i, so please bid as much as you can. Any money is appreciated.
