40 for september of 1941, artist fred ray jr. Medium tempura. A natiev pennsylvanian mr.
Ray started in 1940 working for shuster & siegel the creators of superman. He was one of the earliest definitive superman artists and this is one of about a dozen rare re-creations done in the early 1980's. Condition is excellent, doulbe matted and framed. Auction estimate $6,000- to $9,000 (1 item).
